H emblem

Okay i'm sure this has been posted before and I am very sorry if i'm reposting, but I really want to remove the H emblem off the backside of my civic. It would look really clean and that is what I like. The only thing stopping me it the holes that are left behind. Now I know you can use bondo, sand, and repaint but I don't want to spend that money on a badge. So, I was just wondering if there is an easy solution to this?
Thanks

Re: H emblem

in most cases those will fill a decent sized hole in a bumper from a license plate and in most cases require you to drill the hole bigger to accommodate the plug. so i highly doubt that the little holes from the emblem will just work. so you will prob have to drill the emblem holes bigger and thats just gona be a bigger problem and the plugs are not water tight so you may have to seal it from the inside with silicone and primer the the bare metal after drilling out the holes... pretty much imo not worth it and the plugs will look tacky sitting so close to each other on the trunk

Re: H emblem

That and bondo has a tendency to fall out and crack when used to fill gaps and holes like that. It would be better to weld them up if you were going the repainting route.

I welded mine up and this is what it looks like now.

Re: H emblem

Use your some floss or your buddy's drivers license and a blow dryer. Soften up the adhesive, and separate the bond between your trunk and emblem. It'll pop right off. Pull straight out. There are two little positioning prongs to deal with.

Trade sounds good. Drive down to S.D.
