H emblem Okay i'm sure this has been posted before and I am very sorry if i'm reposting, but I really want to remove the H emblem off the backside of my civic. It would look really clean and that is what I like. The only thing stopping me it the holes that are left behind. Now I know you can use bondo, sand, and repaint but I don't want to spend that money on a badge. So, I was just wondering if there is an easy solution to this? Thanks |
Re: H emblem Yea there is, leave it on. |
Re: H emblem not unless ur plannin on puttin a different emblem there.. otherwise if u take it off, ur just gonna have holes there if u dont fill em/re-paint em.. |
Re: H emblem Alright well I found this website http://www.bumperplugs.com/BPindex.html might try that. |
Re: H emblem Good find dont know how clean or notable they would be but good find non the less |
Re: H emblem in most cases those will fill a decent sized hole in a bumper from a license plate and in most cases require you to drill the hole bigger to accommodate the plug. so i highly doubt that the little holes from the emblem will just work. so you will prob have to drill the emblem holes bigger and thats just gona be a bigger problem and the plugs are not water tight so you may have to seal it from the inside with silicone and primer the the bare metal after drilling out the holes... pretty much imo not worth it and the plugs will look tacky sitting so close to each other on the trunk |
Re: H emblem i would just paint the emblem the color of your car to blend it in those plugs are to big and will be noticeable. |
Re: H emblem 1 Attachment(s) That and bondo has a tendency to fall out and crack when used to fill gaps and holes like that. It would be better to weld them up if you were going the repainting route. I welded mine up and this is what it looks like now. Attachment 100125 |
Re: H emblem 1 Attachment(s) Here's mine. No welding or bondo required. ;) |
Re: H emblem Thanks speed jono I was thinking the same thing, they looked kinda big lowlife im thinking about just giving it a shade of black is there a way to take the emblem off without breaking it? max lol i wish.. that looks nice ... wanna trade? |
Re: H emblem Use your some floss or your buddy's drivers license and a blow dryer. Soften up the adhesive, and separate the bond between your trunk and emblem. It'll pop right off. Pull straight out. There are two little positioning prongs to deal with. Trade sounds good. Drive down to S.D. |
