Hello all
I'm new to the the site and would like to pick your brains a little.
OK I just bought a 2002 civic ex with an AT. I have plans for a K20 swap and a 5-6sp MT. Is it possible to convert it to MT and has it been done. If so I would respectfully request links and know how on the subject!

you want to do the kswap and dont even know if you can go from an auto to a manual?
you've got a lot of homework to do.
use the search button.
for the kseries engine go to k20a.org. theres also a diy in the em2 section

Just so you don't get any ideas about converting to manual then swapping motors, the k series transmissions are not interchangeable with d series transmissions.

Re: 2002 Civic Ex with AT convert to MT ?
HAHA damnit! The funniest part is I've been trying to figure out how to use a damn signature FOREVER (like since I joined last year). I even searched and read someone's DIY and I swear it didn't work. I made one and everything and couldn't figure it out and just gave up. Then again, anytime I click on "User CP" from the home screen it takes me to a dead link, so it might be something wrong with my connection. I hope so. If someone posting about the possibilities of a swap and then requesting links and all the research can do it I must be a full on window licker...

i hope you don't mind if I thread jack, CivicDuty, but i'm pretty sure ya had your run...

those are the instructions i tried to follow and i don't see any of the links this guy is talking about. I go to UserCP>Edit Sig> and in that window it says "your current sig" and shows the sig I want to use and it lets me input the sig into that text box, but there's no way I can see to enter it when "fast reply"ing or even when I hit "go advanced". Nothing. I can't see anything at all that says anything about a sig besides User CP...
what is wrong with me?

Well.. while we are threadjacking... there might be a check box or something you missed, or you didn't save it or something. But you shouldn't have to manually input your sig at the end of a message, it does it automatically.

oh snap I got it... this thread is a success after all. My car is completely stock but this is a pic I took and edited without photoshop... what do you think?
