BMXA Clutch Packs Rebuild

Hi -
I am in the process of rebuilding my BMXA right now. Is the reassembly of these clutch packs as straightforward as taking apart? Do the clutch teeth need to be lined up with the other two clutches? Id appreciate any help. Also - am I supposed to take the piston, spring, and retainer out? Is there something I should be looking for in there? Thanks.

I read on another post here someone saying that "Getting all the clutches to line up was a Bit*h". I am just not sure what is meant by that.

Re: BMXA Clutch Packs Rebuild

I vaguely remember, but

Yes you need to line up those plates to fully sink in. You will feel when they are lined up and the clutch assembly settles in. Hope that helps,

I rebuilt mine 4 years ago. I suggest selling the car in two years otherwise, No matter how good you keep the tranny, It will break down again. Mine lasted for only 4 years. roughly 40k miles.
Honda Sucked for BMXA tranny.

Re: BMXA Clutch Packs Rebuild

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you are saying now that I have rebuilt the entire assembly. That portion of the rebuild was very easy.
