Denso Alternator

Did anyone installed Denso alternator CJX24? It looks a bit different from what we get on our North American 7th gen Civics. Apparently Japanese Civics get Denso alternators. I wonder if there is any difference in quality, connectors, etc.
Thank you.

Re: Denso Alternator

If an original unit, I'd expect it should be OE quality (Denso is an OEM to Honda)----of course minus some life expectancy due to being used, time/miles/wear and tear

I'd hope for the wiring to be the same, as Honda used the same wiring scheme and connector across many years and models (can't tell much from here though, zoom in the pics and compare to yours).

Check and compare # of grooves in the pulley too...might need to swap the pulleys to match your belt drive (I saw some pics on ebay,, made me wonder)

Re: Denso Alternator

Yes, I have a high output singer alternator that is machined in the denso casing installed in a 2004 coupe ex North American model.

It's not a major modification. You'll need a metal file at the very least.

Basically the bracket that's on the engine is smidge too tight for the denso casing to fit in so you must file it down to be able to squeeze it in. I only had to take maybe a mm off.

Once you try to put it in, you'll understand, trust me.
