A few problems

Honda Civic 2003 4 door sedan
Daughters car issues:

my car is really loud (sounds like maybe transmission? It's not muffler.. It's coming from the front) and my gas cap is almost impossible to get off.. I can't get gas without Steve there to take it off (and he has a hard time) and my gas Milage is **** ... I'm thinking maybe it's all connected?? I don't know

Any suggestions would be great. Thx in advance!

Re: A few problems

Check trans fluid level too, usually on level ground with engine hot and running. When was the last time it was replaced? Replace the gas cap.

You don't check Hondas trans fluid like that.

Drive it to get the fluid hot and operating temperature, shut the engine OFF, check trans fluid within 90 seconds.

I don't know of any other popular manufacturer that has you check ATF with the engine OFF.
