2002 LX coupe door questions

Hi All,

I had to replace my driver's side door, and I got it pretty close to correctly adjusted, but it's not like it was factory. The door was replaced because someone destroyed it in a botched break-in attempt, so the frame is straight, and the original door closed perfectly. What is the proper way to adjust the door so that it latches right? My attempts at guess-and-check got frustrating after an hour, and I left it pretty close, but not perfect.

Also, I got my door from an EX that had a factory tweeter. It worked just by connecting the wiring harness. What all do I need to find from the passenger side of an EX in order to get a matching tweeter setup for my passenger side?

Thanks!

proto

Ooooo, stuff like that has always been trial and error for me. I won't do this for a customer, I let the bodyshop do it.

Last door I did was on the GFs Saturn, I only got it "close enough" and let it go. It's not perfect but it closes and opens LOL.

The new door isn't tweaked, is it?

Get the door to close and it looks right, then you open it and it sags.
Shim up the bottom edge with wood wedges, then loosen and retighten the hinges, and repeat the process until you scream.

Know anyone who does bodywork? Good time to know someone!
