Exhaust

I just scored a sweet deal on a magnaflow 15712 catback system (brand new) and was wondering during and after installation if i should do anything in particular or watch out for anything.

Re: Exhaust

Watch out for leaks at the joints during installation the gaskets have to be centered perfectly between the two pipes

Re: Exhaust

Get some pb blaster and soak your bolts before starting. Some of them will probably be rusted.

Re: Exhaust

The clamp should be enough to make it not leak. If you used size adapters make sure you overlapped them properly (with the flow of the exhaust).

Re: Exhaust

also look out for clearance problems larger pipe diameter can interfere with your sway bar especially if the sway bar is after market.

Re: Exhaust

Its all good now and my biggest clearance issue is the exhaust/bumper spacing im trying to find a tiny bit of heat wrap that i can stuff inbetween
