Exhaust

I'm looking to get a exhaust for my 01 civic ex but don't know what one to get. I don't want it too loud and obnoxious I would like to find one that has a deep tone and a little louder than the stock.

Re: Exhaust

^ nice option

I like my HKS Hi-Power. Nice deep smooth tone, and only loud when you get on it. Check this video out:

Re: Exhaust

Lol @Golnat

My HKS sounds like a mad ricer pipe now, with the test pipe on.

It's quiet when I'm not thrashing it....
But when I'm on the throttle, and VTEC kicks in, it sounds like the BRAAAAAAAAAAAP from a fart can.
I sorta like it though.

Re: Exhaust

Test pipes/hi-flow cats change everything. Even my EXMAG sounds a little ricey at times.

Yea, I have stock headers and cat with stock piping. When the cat goes I will covert to EX headers and Hi-Flow cat, hopefully that won't change the tone to much.

My HKS does scrap a little but only when there is an incline and I'm backing up.

Re: Exhaust

^ When you convert you might have to do the whole exhaust unless you know a really good welder Or you are one.

Re: Exhaust

Yea I think your right. Ill just convert the whole thing if its not to exspensive from a junk yard (new OE Lx cat vs whole Ex exhaust system and random tech). If it is exspensive then it will give me an excuse to buy a welder and a good project to do
