What is the right exhaust?

Alright, so we all see those stupid little fog horn ricers flyin around goin 20 soundin like 80. They stupid. I got an 04 ex I am looking to eventually mod and I wanna put a good muffler system on. I'm gonna put on a weapon r dragon intake for the top, but for the bottom I was thinkin flowmaster. I have magnaflow is really good too though. I really just want something that is made well and doesnt sound like a ricer, Just kinda a grumple.

Thanks ya'll!

Re: What is the right exhaust?

a'pexi ws2.. That'll sound good with the weapon R intake

I know because I used to have that setup until I went to an AEM V2, then turbo, then back to AEM V2.. Only beef with the weapon R dragon intake: it fits like a universal kit.

So it's gonna be loose then? Is there a way to tighten it at all? If I'm gonna pay a couple hunrid for an intake, I want it to be a goodin.

Re: What is the right exhaust?

I would go with the magnaflow. I have an invidia exhaust on my rsx and it sounds like sex. I dont know if invidia makes an exhaust system for our civics. Oh btw, headers help your sound a lot too.

Re: What is the right exhaust?

Slim, that's what I've heard, but what headers do I buy? Are the ones with bigger pipes to help air flow? Logically the answer would be yes, but idk what my stock ones are so I couldn't guess what "bigger" would be. My brother said maybe a cherry bomb would work for our cars. Idk his reasoning. I love the sound of his exhaust. He has magnaflows I think, but he has a 99 Sebring so it's a 6 not a 4 cylinder. Lowlife, what's the difference performance and durability wise in the secret and the dragon, honestly I like the look of both, maybe the dragon a little more, but if I am trying to get a good balance of air flow and back pressure so I'm not just sucking air in and putting it out without getting any horse power what would be a good set up? In y'all's opinion.

Re: What is the right exhaust?

I heard Megan racing headers are a good brand. Not only are they a good price but they also have good power. You can either go with 4-2-1 headers with a cat delete (I don't know if they make those for the 7th gen). Or 4-1 headers. Another good header brand is DC Sports

Re: What is the right exhaust?

Ha, ya'll i got the best car in the world. I got board and started thinking, how would the sound be if I took off the muffler, normally its stupid loud and crappy, not with mine. Come to find out, this model's exhaust is a little special. It goes from the head to the cat, from the cat to a secondary cat? It looks like one of the coffee can mufflers, then to the actual muffler. Well I took of the actual muffler and this is what I get. Mind you all my mods are stock.
