p1298-ELD 38255s5a003-02 Civic EX I am hoping we can finalize facts re: ELD 38255-S5A-003, related to code P1298.
As you know there is a Honda SB 05-006 which says this Load Detector is available for ALL Civic 2001-2005 and all CRV 02-04, instead of buying the whole fuse box. BUT, when l ooking at online dealer catalogs, with diagrams, all of them do not list the ELD nor show it on the diagram for all 2002 Coupes, EX, DX, etc, BUT do list it and show it in the diagrams for all 4 door models. One dealer's catalog said it did NOT "fit this model", while another said "not sure". The ELD in the car looks just like the # above (pic of it is elsewhere in the forum).
The question: is the SB correct that this ELD is for ALL 7th Gen Civics as indicated above and on the SB, OR is it only for the 4 door models. The local dealer parts guy had no idea.
Do we have to buy the whole fuse box for the 2002 2-door Coupes?
Is the ELD for the Coupes different in capacities, etc?
Knowledge, experience?

The bulletin trumps the parts catalog.

Believe it.
Buy the ELD and replace it.
