ECU question (maybe easy)...
I have a 2001 Auto DX, SOHC. Having ECU issues, and trying to replace it.
Here's my issue: the ECU which runs my car (PLM-a53), has been "replaced" in the parts computer as a PLM-336. Apparently, this is a recent change, because I can't find any of these "336" ECUs, other than new...I called the dealer to ask if they could still reprogram one of the a53 units -- and no one could really answer my question.
Does anybody have any ideas on this one? Should I just go ahead and buy one of the originals? Price difference is about 90 to about 450.
