I tried googling it when I first saw the thread.. only came up with south african/euro models.. I can't even tell what engine it has. You may have to talk to a dealership or something..

No, these Civics don't come in the EX, LX, DX, VP, or SI trim.
They come in:
Type-G (D15B),
Type-G4 (4 wheel drive with D15B)
Type-B (no-VTEC),
X,
Type-X4 (4 wheel drive version with D15B engine like the Type-X)
Type-iE (lean burn mode with VTEC set for economy mode only, so no high cam lobe VTEC at 5,500 to 6,800 RPM)

To identify your exact trim model, you can find this info by opening your bonnet and looking by the Civic's "LEFT" shock tower (It's a black plate with the chassis number and GRADE on it.

These Civics are for another market hence they describe various vehicle "grades" as opposed to trim levels

Performance-wise, the best trim-level is actually the Type-G with the D15B and not the one with the D17A (which has a less aggressive VTEC cam-profile).

One of the interesting things you may have noticed is that your operator's manual only comes in Japanese (as this vehicle was never made for export like the EP3, EM, or ES models).

It doesn't matter to me all the same. VTEC "buss" sweet in here in Jamaica just like is does in Japan.
