tints
Re: tints
Tint isn't tacky. It can seriously help improve driving experience by reducing the blinding sunlight that enters the cabin, and it makes the car a more private area to be in since people don't see in as much. Items in the back seats are better hidden (if the tint is dark enough) and people driving behind you don't see an ugly head bobbing up and down in the drivers seat. Not to mention that tinted windows just look better.
If anything, I'd say white rims are tacky.

Re: tints
Tint isn't tacky!! If it's done incorrectly it can look horrible but a car looks cleaner with tiny in my opinion, and does help with visability during the day. I would loose the white rims too, only certain cars can pull them off.
Re: tints
I live in Phoenix, AZ... so tint makes a HUGE difference here. I'd like to get limo tint rear, and darkest legal for the doors. I think the little tinting people get on the windscreen is stupid though. I think that's tacky when you're trying to drive, and it annoys me personally. I'd much rather have a black sticker there (which will be done soon on my car).
Only reason I'd have it blacked out is because it's not necessary to be able to see that far up while driving (in my opinion of course). I switched from a YJ Wrangler to my em2, so this excessive windshield is just annoying for me lol.

I have one on my car, it's pretty useful when the sun is hella bright.
Not everyone wants a tacky looking sticker on their windshield.
Re: tints
Personal preference, but I say it's supid because it doesn't work for me. I'm too short in the torso for that to play a factor. Then again, I'm not awake during the time of day most people would benefit from it, hence why I said "I think...". Plus, I explained myself for the most part in the rest of my post. It's opinion is all.
And I don't think a pure black sticker is tacky. Most people probably won't notice it depending on how much it actually covers. Again, this is all personal preference. I'd put on a windshield sticker if I can find one I actually like, but I'd still put a black background depending on the coverage. It's one of those things that everyone will think differently of.
For example, I think painted wheels are ugly, and other people don't. Same thing here, I like what I like.

Re: tints
On my car, you can't even tell that it has stickers. Ill get a pic up tomorrow. I actully like then during the night also, because up here in Alaska, no one ever turns down their brights, and it really helps to keep from getting blinded.

But a R34 bodykit on an EM2 is.
Oh...and no need to explain yourself. I don't care.

Re: tints
Lol, you all enjoy hazing the new people don't you?
Oh, and another thing for the OP I just remembered. If you live in a very warm climate, tint can help keep the inside a bit cooler. Just a thought.

But it's your car. Why are you asking us what you should do cosmetically? Do what you want.
Re: tints
I second the black..... G2 Caliper Paint is what I used for mine.... its 40$ but its been 2 years of summer and New England winters and with a brush and elbow grease they look great after a nice cleaning. No chipping or cracking.
