exhaust
exhaust
i just installed my exhaust i got it off ebay (before you jump down my throat about being cheap it was that or no exhaust im not paying 500 for a name) but on the axle back pipe the top of the arc is within millimeters of the body so when going around a right turn inertia pushes it against the body and it rattles any ideas on a fix? i was thinking maybe bring it to a welder and have them put extensions on the hanger

Re: exhaust
im quite aware. i dont have a **** ton of money to pay for a name. the purpose of this thread was to find a way to pull the axle back away from the chasis not be told why a name brand exhaust would fit better i know that lol and honestly im really happy with it i pretty much fixed the problem already

Re: exhaust
I like it.... Sounds like my brothers custom exhaust. I have an ebay one too. Pipes are 2.5 in diameter with a 4.5" Exhaust tip. Sounds the same as a custom job and I only paid $106. Fit fine and sounds decent. I had $55 in ebay bucks so i really only paid just over $50 for mine so if something goes wrong.... the stock one goes back on.... no biggie and I save a **** ton of money. and its a quick job...

Re: exhaust
I'm very pleased with my Ebay exhaust system as well. I have a full 2.5" catback with 4" tip. It sounds like a quality system and for only $110. The downfall is that it is more likely to corrode, but it seems worth it because I don't feel like spending $600 on a performance name-brand system that I won't use to its full potential. On a mostly stock daily driver, it was just a better decision to go with the Ebay one. Most of my friends who drive Civics complimented the sound as "Deep & Grumbly" instead of "Whiney & Ricey" and some of them thought it was an Apexi N1 system for sure! Ha!
For the alignment issues you're having, you can modify the metal hangers... but it would be much more simple to fabricate or buy different rubber hangers to give you the clearance you need. My catback fit very nicely except the midpipe hangs really low, so I will have to get a muffler shop to rebend or make a new mid-section pipe before I lower the car.
