wont.stop is an unknown quantity at this point

my car burns way too much gas!!

i need help. i got an em2 not too long ago.nd its been burning gas like crazy..i only been driving it for 2 days so at first i thot it was just the fuel gauge but the check engine light is now on. someone told me i culd have a bad o2 sensor.

have the engine light checked free at the auto store, it will tell you whats wrong.

Bad O2 sensor, filthy fuel filter, faulty injectors or fuel pump... Eitherway, the check engine light should identify the problem. Autozone does it free, not sure about any other auto stores known to do this free as most shops charge a minimum of 45 dollars just for diagnosing.

It could be an EVAP problem. My first car ('96 Chevy Cavalier) had that problem. It started burning gas like crazy and a CEL was triggered. found out it was an EVAP issue.

O'reilly's and Advance auto also do it for free.

advance is prolly the best if you have one nearby. they do obdii code checks, alternator and battery checks (on or off the car), battery charges (agm batteries too), starter checks (off the car), battery install, headlight bulbs install, wipers install, and ignition coil testing. and the employees actually know how to use the equipment unlike many of the autozone guys who dont even know how to read whether an alt is bad. the test can show good even tho it is only putting out 20 amps instead of 70.
