Shift boot with red stitching

I am wanting to get a shift boot with the red stitching for my 03 civic. I'm not wanting to spend a ton of money on this but I have been seeing them on the internet anywhere from 11.99 to around 80 bucks. Is there any specific one that I need to buy for my car or anything like that?

Re: Shift boot with red stitching

redlinegoods.com has quality boots for $33.. Also in any color combo you want, as long as they stock those colors.. I've had one of their boots in my car since.. 05? Black leather with blue stitching.

And to actually answer your question, if you get a boot made for your car, it'll look cleaner when installed.

Re: Shift boot with red stitching

Suede looks good, but is a bit harder to clean and maintain. I've got an alcantara suede steering wheel and micro suede seats.

Re: Shift boot with red stitching

suede vs. leather is personal preference.. or how much effort you're willing to put in to keep it clean, like max alluded to

Re: Shift boot with red stitching

Sounds like the suede is much harder to keep clean. If that is correct, what is necessary in cleaning it vs. leather?

Re: Shift boot with red stitching

The OEM Honda leather shift **** also has red stitching and it's the same shape and size as the stock plastic shift ****. I bought it for ~$140+shiipping at H&A but I think it's worth the price, although it's pricier than you were looking for I know.

Re: Shift boot with red stitching

Here's mine, it's leather.

It's really easy to keep clean. In the picture it had just been installed and was still stiff. It's since loosened up and doesn't look as rigid

When I first got mine from redline goods, it was soft as hell.

Re: Shift boot with red stitching

Are you guys using leather conditioning spray? I put that stuff on mine every couple of weeks and it feels the same way it did 2 years ago.
