New Tires: Tire Barn or Sam's Club ?

I'm looking to get a new set of tires on my 03 EX coupe and Michelin is currently offering a $70 mail in rebate. Here in town I have several options as far as dealers go, but I'm wondering what everyone thinks of Michelin tires for this car?

I'm considering the Michelin Primacy MXV4 from either Tire barn ($113 per tire) or Sam's Club ($100 per tire). I expect each place would add on disposal fees and such, but both places claim the prices include all other services.

My reason for posting is that I'm wary of Sam's Club altogether. I don't know if I should trust them with my car, and I have no idea if they will honor the tire's warranty. Doesn't Michelin have a factory warranty? Has anyone used either of these places?

I wouldn't trust either of those places with my car and those aren't great prices, order online and have an independent tire shop mount them for you.

They are actually $98 each on tirerack.com, so to avoid that hassle, I've checked at these places. I guess I will keep shopping around.

Re: New Tires: Tire Barn or Sam's Club ?

last time i went to sams club they messed up two of my brand new rims and lost one of my locking lug nuts (and didnt even bother putting a 4th nut on). smaller chains like big-o and others will be more careful than huge outlets that only employ high school dropouts. seriously if you mess up something as simple as putting lug nuts on, you shouldnt be working.

Re: New Tires: Tire Barn or Sam's Club ?

Of the three cars ive driven, they have all had Michelins and no problems. Never had a unintentional flat in 6yrs/3 vehicles, the most recent my civic.

I ran into a bar ditch and ended up with a flat the next morning..Why did I run into a bar ditch? To get to the other side..nuff said.
