Re: Ebay Side Mirrors?
I would consider buying them just to fiddle around with, but before I even though about installing them I would need to open them up and take out the stupid blue leds.
Re: Ebay Side Mirrors?
FYI: Blue LEDs on the outside of the vehicle is illegal in most states (so are red and yellow). I swear I'm not making this up, red and blue are police colors and yellow is warning/construction. Of the 3 states I've had a license in, outside lights like that are illegal in all of them. And I lived in TN which in some respects is like a third world country (no offense to those of you in TN), hell they didn't even have an annual vehicle inspection 10 years ago. Take it from me and my friends, we've talked to plenty of cops and judges about this. I guess what I'm saying is just be careful about outside LEDs.
Also, neon license borders are pretty much guaranteed to get you a ticket.

Re: Ebay Side Mirrors?
They don't look bad, but like mindbomber said, I'd probably take those lights out. I live in NY, and these guys are strict about just about everything. I've never seen any of those LEDs on the outside of the mirror before.
Re: Ebay Side Mirrors?
Every new Chevy and Ford around here has mirrors like that stock. Of course I live in the heart of truck country. lol. I've seen plenty of people around here running red and a couple running amber but, no blue.
I like the smoked ones a lot.

The only legal colours to project from the front of your vehicle are white and amber, from the rear the only legal colours are red and white.
Yellow fog lights are illegal, led washer nozzles illegal, ground effects illegal, any HID other than pure white illegal. Cleared headlights are also illegal, cheapo projector headlights usually are and for a long time altezzas were.

Re: Ebay Side Mirrors?
they look like they will fall apart in a week lol. yellow fogs are legal btw. otherwise lexus and mercedes owners would have problems. youre allowed to have amber sidemarker signals on the mirrors as almost every new car does. but most places you cant have them on as running lights.

Re: Ebay Side Mirrors?
Interesting, in Canada yellow fogs aren't legal.
Edit: hmm.. I wonder what the tickets are under in Canada- yellow fogs or light modifications; I know some cars have yellow fogs, but I also know people who have gotten tickets for having them.

Re: Ebay Side Mirrors?
Red for emergency vehicles
Blue for snow removal
Green for volunteer firefighters
Well thats how it is in Ontario, i don't know if it's the same for the rest of Canada?
Anyways these were just a thought, if i did get them i would disconnect the outer light, but i would keep the arrow because i really like it, i don't think i would get in trouble for that? If they use the same bulbs or whatever, I'll either tint or paint the outside thing, dunno if that would work :P

Re: Ebay Side Mirrors?
Blue/Red illegal from the front or back (they sometimes stop you if it's on the side cuz it's visible from the front or back) because theyre cop colours. And Green I think was like Volunteer firefighter/ambulance. I haven't had the opportunity to speak with any police officers about this yet, but it's what I understood from the Highway Traffic Act.
Re: Ebay Side Mirrors?
Green is weird. Around here they use red and yellow strobes. God help you if you use them and your not a volunteer.
EDIT: All those stories about and depictions in the movies of Texas State Troopers are true. They are a bunch of no nonsense guys.
