AC compressor issues
my AC compressor is making a really rough noise.
i was wondering if any of you have bypassed your ac. whether it be more power or a significant issue with your AC
I have a 2001 civic 2 door coupe DX.

Either the compressor itself or the compressor clutch is going. Go down to the autoparts store for the A/C delete belt (some civics came with no A/C). It's about $11.
Apparently you lose about 40HP when the compressor comes on. 115HP-40HP=75HP. I know mine has NO power when the A/c is on. lol. Other than that no gains.
