So I've started to notice a slight ticking sound coming from the front of my 2003 Civic LX under specific conditions. It won't tick in park/neutral and it only ticks if I give it more-than-light amount of gas and only either going up a hill or starting out. I.e. if I'm doing highway speed and I give it more gas it doesn't tick. I've only started to notice this since I got my manifold replace (it's definitely not the same sound). It's the Darmon Exhaust Manifold, could it be the manifold just ticking around? I haven't notice a decline in gas mileage and I've noticed no problems out of the performance of the car. What could I check for?

sounds like valve chatter . get a valve adjustment.
