Re: New exhaust!!!
I said in another thread last night.....idc about brand names......the air doesnt move any different if it says Apexi or Greddy or Megan on it. Same for intake....the air dont move any better just cause it says K&N or AEM on the tube.
Re: New exhaust!!!
agreed, the only reason i payed top dollar for my magnaflow is cuzz i know it will bolt right up without any problems, i hate going to muffler shops, lol.
but no, i purchased myn from procivic, will be here in the morning
ill get a clip up tomarrow for sure as long as it arrives like its supposed to

Re: New exhaust!!!
I paid 5x the price as well lol. The only thing bout the cheap exhaust systems is they do not last long at all. And its the exhaust that makes the difference. The flow of them is what makes them different. You can get one exhaust put it on a put it on the dyno and then get another and try it and it could put down 5 more whp so there is a difference in the exhaust within the brand names.

Re: New exhaust!!!
even if he had to replace it at some point, it will never add up to it. to 'add up to it' he would have to replace his 100$ exhaust 5 times before he spent the same as a magnaflow or apexi system. you think any of those name brand catbacks will last 5 times as long as the one hes using? not a chance.
the quality in my opinion is not always better with brand names either. i have a tsudo n1 system and when i bought it, it was about 350$ if i remember (you can get the kit for $150 shipped now). its been on my car for 4 years now and i havent had a single problem with it and it sounds as good as the day i bought it. hows that for a $150 system?

Re: New exhaust!!!
well, finished up installing the exhaust, god damned ups didnt show till 3:45 >:|
anyway, the magnaflow fit pretty good, i have to adjust it though cuzz its leaking by one of the clamps, but it goes away after it warms up, think i just might take it to a muffler shop and have them fix it, cuzz its a pain to position the exhaust and try to hold it there and tighten the clamps using only car jacks... lol
anyway, ill get a vid up monday, my girlfriend ninjad my camera for the weekend( i have another cheap cam somewhere around here, ill get 1 up later if i can find it ;o

Re: New exhaust!!!
sounds great except for the dumb leak, tried fixing it this morning, but the damn nut on the u-bolt somehow cross threaded while i was taking it off
so im gunna have to bust out the dremel and cut the nut off, but first i gotta go pick up another one.
anyway, everyone was telling me it would be raspy since im cat-less, but they were wrong, its a deep growl when not at wot, and at wot its a little higher, but no rasp at all, sounds great, ill get a vid up prolly monday.

Re: New exhaust!!!
depends where it is rattling, if its just the muffler vibrating against the bumper, than there are 2 easy ways to fix, easiest is to get a small block of rubber, slice half way through it, and slip it on the bumper between the exhaust and the muffler, a more intrusive way is to take a dremel to your bumper.
