Re: Lighting

Not really they are leds. Maybe if you change the plastic piece or something, honestly really not worth the trouble.

Re: Lighting

the new style led clusters have white numbers, red needles, and either red or blue rings. just need to rewire the connectors if you have the older bulb style. or if you want pure led blue for everything, do the hybrid cluster swap (some parts dont work properly).

Re: Lighting

you prolly have the older style then. theres a good diy here to convert to the new style by switching around the wires.

this is the newer coupe cluster with red ring

and sedan with blue ring. it lights up just how it looks. also they are lit up full bright during the day and dim down at night with the park lights. it has two adjustable dimming modes for day and night. otherwise you wont be able to see them well in the sun.

Re: Lighting

I guess Ill just have to look for one and eventually change it, bc I think having a cluster from an auto in a mnaual would just be tacky

Re: Lighting

It actually wasn't hard at all to find a manual one...I searched for months on ebay and found nothing...that's why i turned to the forums and found one on car-part.com...fill it all in and it pops up at different junk yards...just a little advice though on the things you need to know...

make, model, year, doors, north american built or japan built, manual or automatic, srs, mileage...

so for example I have an 04 Honda Civic 2-door LX north american built manual w/ srs...

what i purchased to get the blue gauges was an 05 Honda Civic 4-door LX, north american built manual w/ srs...

if you have a 2 door lx get a 4 door lx cluster...

let me know if you have any other questions...simple install if it's just a straight swap...
