removing my 5 speed transmission

transmission broke last night, need to replace it, just have a few questions.

I've never messed with a manual transmission before, so my concerns are related to the clutch. Is there anything i need to lookout for when i take the trans off/install? Ive read about a clutch alignment tool not too sure what the deal is when installing the trans back to the engine.

Im going to attempt to remove the tranny from underneath the car like this guy.

Or do you guys recommend i remove the whole engine/tranny all together? for an easier install.

Re: removing my 5 speed transmission

yea taking it out the bottom requires you to remove the subframe, which is like 6 bolts and you need to drop the lower control arms too, that way you dont need to mess with the sway bar links
ive gotten my transmission out in an hour before.. with power tools that is
