is your vehicle 2 door or 4 door?

rear deck speakers in a 2 door are 6x9 for sure
rear deck speakers in a 4 door are 6x6 i believe (not 100%. they may be 6.5x6.5)

Also gotta be careful with the depth too, I have Infinity Kappas in my rear deck and they not only hit the spring for the trunk but are still sticking up about an inch. I managed to use spacers so screw em in and still get the back deck on but it rattles a little. Only way to fix it is to remove the spring and install diff ones(there is a thread around here somewhere with a DIY). Also dynamate(I think thats its name) would also be a good idea to put down while your back there to prevent rattling as well.

mdawg are they infinity kappa 692.9i speakers? thats what i have in my car, and they sat so high that i had to use the 1 inch spacer they give you with them. even with the spacer they were almost touching my trunk springs. needless to say my rear deck didnt fit on properly, which meant my rear pillar panels never fit in place either. i broke all my clips trying to get them in place too.

i did the trunk shock diy and it was pretty easy. i dropped the speakers right down into place right after getting rid of the spacers and bought new clips for the panels, put everything back and it all fits great now.

when i bought the car their was no rear speakers installed somebody must have taken em out. I suspect they were a decent brand cause the car already has Dynamat installed and there were some old rca's running through the car..havent pryed open the door panels so i have never seen the stock brand of the front speakers..so they are pioneers?
as for what i put in i have no idea yet..get me a hole set of high end component speakers probly..gotta get me some mula first

Yep thats them. I need to get around to doing the trunk shock diy but I just don't feel like pulling all that crap out again.

i dreaded it too, but once i did it the 2nd time, it was pretty quick and simple. i did it right after i installed the trunk shocks while i was still in 'mode'.
