Lights out!

the backlight behind my odometer and fuel guage is dead. Is this something I can change a bulb or LED on or is it more likely like a fried wire or something? i realize i'm in for a small mess getting to it. I just don't want to go yanking stuff out without an feasible goal in mind to justify it.

Re: Lights out!

if only part of the lighting is out, its just the bulb. there are 5 total bulbs behind there for backlight. you gotta take the cluster out, then there are the bulbs in the back that you twist off and replace with new.

Re: Lights out!

ah ok. I was getting a little confused I guess. I saw the tutorial on changing the backlighting color of the gauge cluster a while back and it kinda made me think the things were hard-wired/soldered in, but if it's just a bulb then that's no problem. Appreciate the feed back!
