ingalls engine torque damper

alright guys I've read the official engine torque damper threads and on the last one I read it showed that someone fit the damper and a neuspeed tie bar. I just wanted to know if anyone went further and tried it with other bars? I was thinkin of pickin up a megan bar with the engine damper. Will they fit together?

Re: ingalls engine torque damper

you can fit them just fine, but it wont be safe. reason being, the nut only threads on a couple times. there is not enough room to safely have both. and if you shave down any part of the bar or brackets, you are compromising the integrity of the piece and it will fail sooner.

Re: ingalls engine torque damper

4 turns is not that much. the nut should at least be fully threaded. you dont want those bolts coming loose or goodbye steering.

I dont get hwo if your driving and your neuspeed bar came off it wouldnt really do anything would it? just fall on top of the engine and its fine lol.... and well maybe if i used a lot of superglue it'd stay too?

Re: ingalls engine torque damper

how about if your strut is hanging on by one nut and you go over a big bump in the road. the bar and damper uses the stock strut mounting studs (2 of em).
