i was thinking about putting just new headers on my car and taking the old exhaust off and just run the headers until i get my new cat and catback exhaust. i have heard that this gets more horsepower but i have also heard that this can hurt your engine. anybody have experience or anything that can let me know if this is a good or bad idea?

um im not quite sure im understanding here...

you want to remove your stock header, downpipe, and entire exhaust system....and install JUST the aftermarket header?

When you turn it off it can easily suck cold air in and warp the exhaust valves with an exhaust system that short.

haha oh my god. that would sound terrible. not to mention you probably would start screweing internals up. it would be a different story if you had that setup and had to turn your vehicle on to let it run for a few minutes while you were working on it for those few weeks, but to use it like that as your everyday vehicle...youd be crazy.


theres no way you can be THAT eager to put on your new catback system...what would happen if there was a shipping problem or they sent you a wrong item? hahaha.
