I jacked up the front end today and started to look around, just checking things out. And low and behold, what do I find? I’ve lost a nut and the bolt is holding on for dear life!!
I guess I’ll be driving the truck to work tomorrow and stopping at Lowes on the way home for a bolt. It’s a 14 x 1.5 mm according to my book. I’m just glad I saw it before my steering knuckle fell off. I just did a canyon run last night.
Perhaps this is why I was getting a little bit of torque steer when slamming it into 2nd.

god thats terrible. thats the worst when you get that 'oh man i cant believe it never came out with my luck' sort of feeling. at least it didnt come out.

did you get any recent work done? or when was the last time you paid attention to it? any idea why it might have done that?

Don't replace that bolt, it's a Grade 8, unless you get another Grade 8. Just replace the nut that goes on the end
