OEM CD PLAYER SCRATCHING MY CDs!
What's up!
Just curious.
Check your cds... are they scratched? I usually listen to one cd for long periods of time and notice that the tracks start to skip and upon checking the cds, I notice nasty scratch marks! Perhaps the lint and dust that gets collected into the opening of the cd receiver is causing the scratches.
I'm probably going to invest in an aftermarket headunit and hook up my iPod, or I can get the iPod connector for the OEM cd player, but we'll see.
I guess it was somewhat of a vent lmfao.

haha that oem player is such a pile. yeah it scratched my cds too, i wouldnt even use real ones i would make copies and then throw it away after a few weeks. half the time it wouldnt even play cd-r discs at all.

With more and more music being digital, does anyone still use their CD player?
I for one do, but its aftermarket. So far no problems with it.
I guess it could possibly be caused by the road?

i think it could also be a heat problem. I have noticed a lot of my cd's being scratched but I have also noticed on hot days my cd's will get stuck inside and do not want to eject.

i have a 2 year old basic alpine deck that plays mp3 cds and its awesome. plays in hot, cold, severe bumps, it never skips unless i go over huge potholes, i love it. plays cd-r mp3s no problem and i still have the first cd i made in mint condition in the cd case.
