Short Ram Intake Lower RPM's?
Hey guys, I did a quick search and found a couple people suspecting that it did lower the RPM's, but I just wanted to see if it is noticeably lower. Anyone have any idea?
Would love to lower my RPM's on my manual 2005 ex...being at 4 grand at 80 mph is ridiculous...
Once again thanks for any input.

I don't think that's possible, the only way to lower RPM's would be to regear the axle, or the transmission, or use larger tires. The crank is directly connected to wheels, If it is spinning slower then the wheels are going to be turning slower, unless you change one of the above items.

I didn't think so...But someone on here was saying their manual civic was at 3 grand at 80 and that the sai was the only thing he had done.
Re: Short Ram Intake Lower RPM's?
yea an intake doesn't do that... it doesn't change gear ratios... for each gear, if the engine had a specific speed for a wheel rotational speed, this will not change after an intake.... however, what will change is the amount of time it takes for the engine to reach that speed (shorter)
