aftermarket fog light harness to oem fog light switch

So I bought an aftermarket fog light set and realized the switch is a vertical switch for the driver side console; too big for center console. I went to Honda thinking the wiring harness should technically be the same, but I was wrong. I knew that I cannot return the switch after ordering it, so I'm going to have to make-do with it.

Does anyone know if there are adapters for connecting this or how to solder them together? What wire goes to what tab? There's an extra prong on the Honda switch.

Re: aftermarket fog light harness to oem fog light switch

since nobody posted, i took apart the switch to learn more.

i think i deduced what the extra prong is for. correct me if i'm wrong, but i think it's for the led bulbs. anyone know which wire goes to which of the 4 prongs? and how to connect the led bulb also?

anyone good with electronic circuitry/wiring stuff?

niceeeee. but what's the unlabled prong for? and it shouldn't matter if i mixed up the in + and out + right? since the switch is essentially connecting them together

it's too big. it will fit the big slots but they're all full. i have cruise control and sunroof. besides, the wiring harness is way too short to reach the driver side console. if the one that came with the kit worked, i wouldn't have spent $40 for a switch

the unused prong is illumination i belive. i kinda finagled mine. one is to power the lights and the other is to light up the switch. the one out obv goes to the lights. and the 2 grounds are for the switch.

Re: aftermarket fog light harness to oem fog light switch

im a little confused. so with the harness i have, which wire goes to which prong? the yellow and black should both be grounds for in and out right? and the 2 red should go to the 2 positive prongs?

did you hook up the illumination?
