I got a 05 civic ex with 70k miles on it. I on my way to lunch when it took 20 minutes for my car to warm up while I was driving. After the car warm up I could be just sitting at a stop light when the car would just start blowing cold air while the fans were blowing and the dial on heat. So I was like damn thats odd. Light turned green and I started drive again then the car starts blowing heat air, then I was like wtf is wrong with the car. Then as soon as I start to slow down the air turns to cool then finally I stop it was cold again. I took it to HONDA and told then I think the heater core is trying to go out. They all looked at me like it was amazing and surpraised. I left the car with them. Keep in mind that I had 30k left on my HONDA CARE warranty and I had always took my car for service for almost every thing on that list.

They told me that it could be caused by a valve being broke and HONDA CARE would not fix it. Because it was due to me over reving the car AND IT would cost about $1500 plus to fix. But they must take off the head to confirm it. So said okay. A day later they called me back and said no valves are broken , But the head gasget had detrited.

Later on I find out the blower motor had gone out after countless time me taking the car to them and asking why is the car making this funny sound when I turn on the fan.

My question is were they trying to scam me or really did not know what was causing that.

dealerships dont always know the right answer, sometmes they are just guessing most times... this time they guessed wrong. and they should be covering this, as it didnt fix the problem, you should never give in to aftermarket warranty companies, ever, always bitch, and complain till u get what u want! honestly, they should have checked the blower, and other things first, before saying its valves, or headgasket, more than likely they lied to you, sorry bro
