Re: 05 ex automatic ECU in 02 ex 5speed ?

its VTEC not VTECH. if you got it from WalMart, then you know its a VTECH. otherwise, what your going to do is break your car. Your car is going to be a retard. The ECU will try to shift, but like a retard, nothing happens.

This is Your Car on VTECH:

Re: 05 ex automatic ECU in 02 ex 5speed ?

you stupid kid first of all your profile says your only 16 years old and you probably still live with your mommy and she probably still does your laundry because you are a sorry *** kid and hey you probably work either @ your local fast food spot getting paid just a little more than $ 7 an hour so my point is .why dont you just grow the fack up . or if you just were trying to be funny by talking **** on my thread then your just a loser with nothing more important to do than just make **** up , and hey none of the above mention is a crime or a sin like the fast food restaurant, or your mommy still doing your laundry and living off of welfare . theres just some people that are not physically and/or mentally prepared to be successful in a life so here you have it you wanted it .this is all your gonna get from me or probably a little more . and by the way the picture you posted looks like your mom on crystal meth before giving birth to you that was kind of mean but i had to say it .

I already answerd your question your Stupid 22 year old!

The ECU will try to shift, but like a retard, nothing happens.

With a AT ECU, it will try to connect to a tranny ECU, failing to do so would result in no shift happenin! It just doesnt work. You need MT to MT or AT to AT.

@ mauri503rida

Why, in the hell did you turn this into a personal attack on this guy?? You asked a stupid question, he gave you a semi stupid answer. He did not say anything negative about you. I will, however, say you're an idiot. Not only have you been outsmarted by the search function, you've been owned by a 16 y/o, and you haven't looked anywhere else on the internet, either. A quick search of a honda parts catolog would tell you, yes, the at ecu is a different part number than the mt ecu. Let me ask you a couple stupid questions now. Why in the hell would you want to do this?? Do you even know where the ecu on your car is?? Do you know when your vtec "kicks in" now?? Do you honestly think vtec on a single cam 1.7 NA engine makes a difference?? Are you aware that the vtec on the D17 is designed to provide increased efficiency, rather than performance?? And what does your high and mighty 22 year old *** do for a living, since you brought it up??

First of all SEARCH! i can guarantee all of these questions have been answered multiple times here. that being said i will answer them neway.

It wont make a difference, except that you will have to bypass the ecu so it thinks you are in p, d, and reverse, so your car will start and drive. so its pointless.

vtec depends on throttle position and rpms. it doesnt engage at a certain rpm

get the part number and call a honda dealership.

there your questions are answered.
