i found XTD and XTR on ebay... they seem very popular but does neone have any experince with them ?
One important question is that do u have to go according to stages when buying a clutch kit ?
like all i have is an intake right now ... but this summer ill be gettin headers, exhaust and a nitrous kit. so should i directly swap in a Stage3 kit ? or will that be a problem to be on the stock car right now ?

Ok let me spell it out a lil: My stock clucth is almost gone. The most it will survive is a month or 2 the most. Im looking for aftermarket clutch kits on ebay.
1) All the kits being sold for DX and LX Civics are by XTR and XTD. So i need to know if anyone has tried those companies and what they think about them.
2) I see that all clutch kits are being sold in order of stages, eg. Stage1 (195hp -intake, exhaust, header) , Stage 2 (250hp - Intake, Exhaust, header, Ecu, Wheels) and Stage 3 (295hp- I,H,E,Ecu,Wheels and Forced induction).
My car only has an intake right now, but i do have plans of getting headers, exhaust next month and most important of all, a nitrous kit by fall. So which stage kit shud i get ? like Coz im almost stock do i have to get Stage1 for now and then replace it with a stage 3 kit when i get the nitrous kit ? or can i just put in the stage 3 clucth kit from now and it wud be still fine till the time i get the kit?

You will be fine with a Exedy Stage 1 honestly. My buddy has the ACT stage 2 and let me tell you its so stiff you'll have calves of steel after driving it for a day. Also check out Competition Clutch from Dezod. Those are also highly praised.

clutches are rated by torque, not horsepower. HP is a number spit out by a dyno. Any stage 1 clutch is fine... they hold upwards of 200 lb-ft, which you wont make on a 50 shot. An OEM clutch is probably also fine.

lol
The Si is a type of "civic," and there is a total of eight generations in the civic family.
The 06 falls in the 8th gen category.
05 is in the 7th gen caregory.
Just some food for thought, Manni
