need info/ideas

well i got screwed over on my car. i came home one day from school a week after i sold my explorer and there was a new 05 civic in the drive. walked inside and asked who it belonged to, found out it was mine, like oh crap mine awesome lol but then i go to test drive it a little and go to push the clutch down, lol no clutch i got stuck with an automatic and couldnt swap it in cuz they left the lot and would have to pay a fee.

so since then i have purchased a Injen CAI, DC 4-1 headers, exhaust, head lights, and body kit(lol i know was in the mood and just spent money instead of holding off).

well i am looking to get a supercharger since its an automatic and not sure which one to get and/or what else i should purchase.

please no jerks im just looking for some easy information, im not a genious when it comes to cars but i know enough and still learning

First things first,

If you dont like a new car you can always go and return it within 3 days or 150miles of purchase (which ever comes first) and for switching from Automatic to Manual would have never been a problem since Stealership wud have saved an extra $1000 by giving u a Manual Tranny car.

2) emm D17's or more easy for you wud be YOUR CIVIC ENGINE isnt meant to be bosted on stock internals ... Now ISNT MEANT doesnt mean that you CANT use force induction. its just that its not that reliable and you dont get that much power out of it after spending so much money ...

3) Read all the posts and topics within the FORCED INDUCTION and SWAP SUB FORUM ...

4) (ONLY IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND A WORD OF WHAT PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT IN THE ABOVE FORUM) .... Trade your civic in for a RSX type S or some other car man ....

i know i have a D17A1 engine and i know all this info...i had my car for a week the thing was i had an appointment and by the time i got there i was at 200 miles b/c the dealership or stealership is 1hr away by my grandma's. now when i tried trading or sawpping it back in for a stick they said i had to pay the fee b/c it was over the 5day/100miles(this is what they said).

now the thing is i got mega screwed with the civic b/c when i had my explorer i got a 5point speeding ticket which boosted my insurance up like wow and when i looked at an 03-04 evo my insurance made me cry b/c of how high it would be with the points and they wouldnt let me put it under my mom's name(big arguement, family said drop it and got stuck with civic).

now im working with what i got so what info can anyone tell me about turbo vs supercharger

gas mileage worse with a sc but more reliable i know the basics but leaning towards power. i got a civic and dont have money for a swap where do i go from here?

Re: need info/ideas

so let me get this straight......you were GIVEN a new car that you DIDN'T have to pay for and you're complaining about it being an automatic? damn dude, some kids are so ungreatful these days. i've never had a car given to me. every car i've owned, i bought with my own hard earned money. i started working when i was 14 so i'd have enough money to buy a car when i was 16. so suck it up and be happy you have a car, or go buy your own. sorry, but i've got no pitty for people that complain about gifts given to them.

ok lets get this straight i never said i dont pay for my car i pay $250 plus insurance a month while paying other bills while going to school full time. im not ungrateful i appreciate everything i get and the civic wasnt something i wanted, dont mind having it but wasnt planning on getting something like a civic. wow u were 14 n got stuck doing crap for yourself, go ahead and give urself around applause for that one but i do pay for everything i own no matter what it is give n take few things and started working when i was 13 as a ref at a paintball field under the table and 14 got a real job. your not the only person to work young to get what they earn, so jump off my nuts and move on
