Re: More Wide Band Help!

No you do not need the module for the UEGO....that is only for the PLX system....it's like a little computer to store your data......UEGO has actual wires you can run into your AEM computer for datalog and what not. PLX module only goes with plx setup...UEGO has a blue & white wire for output

Re: More Wide Band Help!

AEM wideband doesn't use a module. The module is built into the display. The reason plx uses modules is for transferrance of data and because the iMFD system is a usb controlled display which is too small to convert data, that's what the sensor module is for.

You should be able to datalog the fic with the uego. Just a sensor and gauge.

Re: More Wide Band Help!

from my understanding using wideband you run into this:

A. Buy a A/F guage (which is actually narrowband) unless you buy a wieband kit (additional), for this youll need to weld in a bung onto the exhaust maifold and this is where the additional o2 sensor will go in conjunction with your A/F guage.

B. Buy a widband A/F guage, this kit comes with all the stuff needed but will usually run for 350.00+

-------------------

in your concept....
it does not state that it comes with the LED GUAGE

EX:
SM-AFR main unit

Bosch LSU 4.2 wideband sensor

O2 sensor harness 10ft

4ft power wire with 2.1mm connector

4ft Analog wires and connector with 4 terminals

1ft Serial Cable

Termination jumper

Quick start guide

i think you need both the A/F guage and this to work for what you need?

correct me if im wrong but im sure this is how it goes?

Re: More Wide Band Help!

Just to clarify what comes with an AEM UEGO gauge (30-4100)

You get the display gauge (which includes the controller built in).
You get the wiring for power/ground etc...
You get the UEGO sensor and harness.
And manuals etc...

The AEM UEGO is not a datalogger. It is a display. If you want to datalog it also comes with a 0-5V output in addition to the display and you connect that to your EMS, F/IC or whatever and datalog your AFR just like you would any other sensor.

gmcuajo can only hope to improve
Re: More Wide Band Help!

It also have a serial rs-232 output wire that you use with a software. Not a good thing because you only have A/F ratios, not rpm to compare, etc. Download the AEM UEGO manual.
