Rep Power: 0 Installing a remote start system on a 2015 EXL
I am tempted to add a remote start feature to my 2015 EX-L. It would be very helpful in this cold weather. I am very good at following instructions. I have installed basic stuff before like aftermarket radios, manual to power windows, backup cameras and stuff. But all that were in older cars where things are less sophisticated. I have installed a bluetooth system to a 2011 Town & Country, but that was an OEM part, and it was basically plug and play.
Has anyone done this for any of the 9 gen?
Here's the part I am thinking of getting: https://www.ebay.com/itm/112672486150
This part uses your existing key and uses the lock button to start and turn off the car. It does not seem to require a honda dealership to program it.

I have the same car,, I also am considering a self install.. but I want to use the factory system.. much better than anything you can find non stock, has many nice options. Part number 08E92-TRO-100B. you can get the kit for around 300 bucks with complete install instructions from Honda Part World. It doesn't look that difficult. I guess I would assume the dealer would need to do the final step to get the ECU to recognize the new system. Someone must have done this..

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Me. Problem: Your part number is only the wiring half of a kit. You'd be missing the control unit, antenna, and fob.
You'd probably need something like part# 08E91-E54-100 along with the harness kit you posted.
Yes it must be programmed by the dealer before it will work...better check prices for that service
