Unhappy Diag menu

Ok, somewhere I saw about a hidden menu in the imid and being CURIOUS I tried it on my civic and didn't change anything and figured how to exit it, BUT it pops right back up the next time I turn key on. how can I get it to stop this??

Re: Diag menu

I looked at what I believe to be the same video. If you keep watching, all you have to do is hit the menu button again to return it. I don't have a 9thgen, so that's all I can assume. I got curious and kinda wanna see if it'll do the same on my 10thgen, but I haven't gotten around to it yet

Re: Diag menu

This is the video. After holding the menu and source buttons I then hit source with the diagnostic highlighted and it brought up another screen. I can exit from it by holding source and menu but when I turn car off and the next time I restart it comes back

Re: Diag menu

At least he didn't tell how to move the backup camera guidelines around LOL
I assume this is on a 12 LX?

I'm scared to go outside to F with mine now, but

I want to say enter the inline diag area and see if it shows something like the list of manual inputs (buttons) so you can complete all of the checks, and then exit diag (similar to what we do when a radio is stuck in the factory diag mode)

Re: Diag menu

Oooh. I've not had to mess with the stuff others have discovered LOL
But there was a bulletin on 2012 that had us check the software versions for an update....

Hit menu once to bring up the vehicle menu screen
Hold menu down and press source 5 times in a row to enter a diag mode
(shuffle papers around)
menu again to exit

Re: Diag menu

I tried this on my Civic yesterday and had no issues. Hitting the menu button gets me out of it, and it stays that way. Could your problem be specific to your model year?

That helped!

After going into diag mode I highlighted diag and hit source then there was a screen showing diag incomplete and diag complete and I highlighted complete and hit source and then menu and it stays cleared now.
