DIAG message

I've been trying to get my radio serial number using the button 1 and 6 method for my 2007 EX, but i keep getting a DIAG message instead of the 8 digit code. Anyone have any suggestions? I cant go to the dealership cause they said they would have to charge fifty dollars and being the broke college student i am its too pricey. (FYI-im doing this because i replaced my battery and i dont have the unlock code for my radio.)

Re: DIAG message

Some times the dealer writes that information down in the first pages of the Owners Manual... you might want to check it out.
