i am a newbie.

I am going to replace my left cv shaft but I don't know whether I need to buy cv shaft with a abs ring or not.

After I change, I will definitely post a how-to article with pics. thank you

First obvious questions:
Does the car have ABS?
Does a yellow ABS light light up on the dash for 2 seconds with all the other lights when you turn the key on?
Does the axle currently have an ABS ring on it?

If the car has ABS on it, you definitely need the ABS ring on the axle.

(Even if the car doesn't, an axle with the ring will still fit so you can be safe either way.)


And why are you replacing an axle on an 07 already? I haven't seen a bad one yet here. No boots opened up from weather cracking at all.

the boot is still ok but I hear the clicking noise from the left. I checked every bushing around the left axle but can't figure out where it is coming. I am going to replace the cv shaft first because that noise is like the shaft shot. I hope it is the right one.
