im pretty sure no stock radios come with preouts that ive ever seen. only aftermarket. if you are wanting to add a speaker amp, you will need to get one that supports "speaker-level inputs" that way you do not need rca preouts, you just run the speaker wire to the amp and then from the amp to the speakers.

Re: 2008 civic stereo question. can anyone help?

ive always liked alpine, in fact im still using the amp i bought 6 yrs ago. but make sure whatever you get has speaker level inputs. and you have to match to the speakers. stock papers can only take 5 maybe 10w rms. aftermarket speakers can handle anywhere from 60w+ rms depending on the speaker and should be powered at least 1/2 of the rms rating, preferably 3/4. so if you have four 60w rms speakers, get a 4 channel amp that puts out at least 30w rms per channel. make sure you also get amp wiring kit, depending on the power you will have to run power and ground for the amp, a remote turn on wire from the deck, and the speaker wires. make sure the power wire and speaker wire is run on opposite sides of the car. also they sell speaker wire as one big bundle that has many small wires inside. that makes for easy install.

yeah there is, ive heard the quality isnt too good tho but ive never tried it. nothing is as good as rca preouts so you might wanna think of getting aftermarket deck.
