So I am currently beginning to start completely reworking my 2006 civic from front to back. The car currently has 170K miles and is completly factory stock under the hood so my goal is to not only restore under the hood for more reliability but I am also wanting to make upgrades or an engine swap to boost my performance this time around. I currently live in KY but I hoping i can get any and all ideas on what kind of upgrades i should be looking at. My goal is to spend around $3000-$3500 on either an engine swap, rebuild of current engine and upgrade, or simply any other upgrades you all would find useful to me. Really just looking for any ideas or cool things you think i should look into. of course by my budget I am not trying to break the bank under the hood or get a 400 HP civic on the road but i would like to be pushing more than the 140HP stock on my 1.8L.
