2015 Honda Civic problems

Driving my 2015 Honda Civic to work this morning and a bunch of engine lights came on and displayed on the screen. Car has 59,000 miles.

Check TPMS system
Check emission system
Check visa system
Check hill start assist system
Check power steering

So I pulled over and looked up the codes. And was gonna try moving to a safer spot. But the car wouldn't move after being put into gear, the engine would rev but nothing.

And what's funny is I went to the dealership yesterday to look at trading it in for a new civic and now I have these problems.

Re: 2015 Honda Civic problems

What fault code(s) did you get?

Did you check transmission fluid level? Any other handy info?

Not sure on the codes because I didn't have a code reader on me. I brought it to the dealership and a new message popped up "check transmission". So they looked at it and it turned out to be a faulty part inside the transmission that they have to replace(sorry don't remember the name of the part). But it takes only acouple days to fix and it was still covered under warranty.

Aside from being inconvenient, this is about the best outcome one could hope for!

You can say that, I was only 900 miles short of the warranty ending. So I think I'm definitely turn this in for a newer one, don't like this one already has transmission problems. Just my luck, it will break down again at 60,001.

Re: 2015 Honda Civic problems

What exactly are they replacing?

Just some minor sensor?

I was wrong it was the valve body in the transmission that needed to be replaced.

Re: 2015 Honda Civic problems

I was wondering why they would be replacing just a valve body. At least you get a fresh trans out of it.
