Re: Where is the E brake adjustment Nut...?

Has someone been inside the brake drums and have you checked the brake cables under the car for damage?

Pull lever with 44LBS of force, should reach 8-10 clicks.

If you pull the lever real hard you can always reach the end of its travel but the brakes should have locked long before that point.

Adjuster is just under the handle. Remove the trim around the shifter and lever for access.....but it's rare to actually need adjustment, there's usually something else going on elsewhere causing a complaint.

Raise rear wheels off the ground
back off cable adjustment a few turns, pump brake pedal several times
Pull handle ONE click
Adjust cable tension until you feel slight drag on each wheel
Release handle make sure both wheels spin freely with zero brake drag

recheck for 44lbs/8-10 clicks noted above

Re: Where is the E brake adjustment Nut...?

ezone on the DX 08

i have drum brakes in the rear which i have adjusted the rear brake shoes on both Left & right sides

out-word closer to the drums by turning the little adjusting wheel found under the

wheel cylinder with a flat tip screw driver in the "up-right position just enough" to

where the brake drums can go on still easily mind You" it helped a little... but

hand brake is still going abit too high to park on steep down or uphills its well

over 10 clicks more like 15-17 clicks. too get a firm stop on a down or uphill

STOP. Can You give me a Pick or Video on where to adjust it on the Brake Lever..?
