5th Gear Scrape
Hey guys I just got an 08 lx and all seems to be fine but at high speeds like over 90 when I shift from 4th into 5th gear at 5000 to 6000 rpms I can't go into 5th without it making a scraping sound. I literally have to wait for the rpm to hit like 2000 where I can barely hear my exhaust for it to slip right in like its supposed to. Anyone have the same problem and information would be greatly appreciated.

Loud crunch noise....cracked or broken blocker ring with subsequent wear of the corresponding gear teeth..
Trans come out and apart, inspect and replace most of the 5th gear related parts.
Cause? My guess: Someone driving b@lls out fast-n-furious out missed the 2->3 shift and instead hit 5th gear by mistake at about 6000 rpm.
