120,000 mi Service 06 Civic LX

Hey all,

I searched but didn't find an answer, so here is my question. The dealership suggests a service at 120,000 miles (did the full 700 dollar tuneup at 100k) which includes adjusting valves, trans fluid, brake fluid flush, and filters (which I do myself regularly) and some other misc work that I forget at the moment. My question is this, is it needed work or just another excuse to overcharge me? I want the car to last to 200, so I don't mind spending some money to make sure it runs well. Any advice for maintaining my car at 120k and beyond is welcome, thanks!

Ask the dealer people for an itemized list of everything they want to include in their version of a 120k service.

Take it home and compare to what your owners manual states needs to be done (it won't really because it's a maintenance minder car), and compare to your actual service history, what's already been completed and when..
