8th or 9th gen?

I want to purchase a Civic Si, and am torn on what exactly I want. I like the 8th gen body style and overall looks better. However, i am looking for a fast car, with a few bells and whistles. The 9th gen's are a second faster on 0-60 time, and I would start off faster and any modifications would put me that much higher, but I would spend more up front and it would not be the body style I like. Any input from anyone who drives either?

Re: 8th or 9th gen?

Comes down to personal preference. I drive an 8th gen (2009 SI) and don't like the look of the 9th gen personally. Added a cold air intake and exhaust, didn't make it much faster at all, but sounds a little better.

Re: 8th or 9th gen?

I bought my 09 civic ex-l coupe for looks and fuel economy.
If you want to go fast there are plenty of other car choices.
I like the new vette myself.
