Please Recommend Reliable Yrs. for Civic EX Model
Hello folks,
I'm in the market for a pre-owned vehicle. My current ride is a 1995 maxima with over 500,000 km. While it's been a good car, the body and continual ageing of parts is becoming an issue. It also has a river running through it, somewhere on the left side, but hey I like the sound of running water
I drove a late 80s camry prior to that and an early 80's hatchback civic before that.
I've been toying with the idea of a civic, accord, corolla or camry. What terrifies me about toyota of late is the unintended acceleration issues, which has affected more model yrs. than those recalled. In addition to declining fit/finish. Nissan and their odd ball issues with cvt engines scares me off the altima.
I'm not thrilled about all the problems i'm hearing with the accord either, mainly fit/finish-ratting etc. issues, among brake problems. Otherwise I'd go right for an accord 4cylinder.
Long-term reliability (8+ yrs. if possible) and fuel efficiency is what I'm most interested in.
I realize most, if not all manufacturers have issues with all models these days, yet I suppose I'm inquiring about which civic model / years presents the lesser evil. Willing to consider back to 2006 if need be.
