I got a 2006 Civic 2dr EX, can anybody tell me if it comes with a slight tint from the factory?

I got my car tinted by a place that told me they would only tint my car legally which is 35% around here. When I look at my receipt it says "CH-55" which means they put Madico Charcoal 55% on it.

They tell me that there is already a factory tint so that if a cop checked it would come out to 35% to 38% light getting through.

most factory tints are 95% with green. pretty much nothing. ive never heard of civic factory tint unless it was a dealer option, and almost always its film not dye. the shop may have thought you had tint if your interior was dark color. if there was tint film, they would not have tinted it without first removing the old tint (and charging you extra).

Thanks, that is what I figured. I guess I am stuck with it now unless I want to pay to get it done again. The only positive is it looks not bad for being 55%, I had 35% on my last car and the Madico 55% looks similar.

Yah usually civics from the dealer do not just come with factory tint. Its usually an option but either way you usually don't even notice the tint
